 I used to be something, but now I am nothing.             <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

I used to think I\u2019m something,<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

But later it turned out that I\u2019m nothing. <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Before I came to the US, I thought there  as  something made me myself, <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

but once I came here and lost a language, <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

I became nothing.<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

  Who Am I?<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

I\u2019m what I speak, <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

                                                                What I write. <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

I was made of language. <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

If language is gone, I’m nothing. <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

And I gradually  learned a language,              <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

All my language, I borrowed.              <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

I borrowed \u201ctotally\u201d from my friend whose name is Maria.             <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

I borrowed \u201cvery true\u201d from psychology student in California. <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

All parts of my language are made up  of these people  and as I speak, as I write, <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

I start to disappear.<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

                        Because I am what I\u2019m speaking.              <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

I am what I\u2019m writing. <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

I became so in this country.  <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

I, too, sing America.<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

I, too, am America.<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

                                             America\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n
