In the black and white of life, I see vibrant hues<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n
Reaching God’s promised years, I’ve paid most of my dues<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
Prefer singing sultry jazz, not songs of salty blues<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
Realized that some I have known truly have no clues<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
In the magic of each exhale<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
I breathe in the breath of good hope<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
Because of witnessing all too well<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
The Great Spirit helps me to cope<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
When rainbows dissolve into crystalline bright stars<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
The new world crumbles the old, leaving fresh-faced scars<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
Blatant evidence of fright in border patrol Czars<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“Alligator Alcatraz”; humans caged behind bars<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I retreat to my happy place<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
Where colors dance and tend to play<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
And leave this world without a trace<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
Eyes wide, unveiling God’s great grace<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
*<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
For man is not meant to live in chaos that abounds<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
But enjoy all of creation with its sights and sounds<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
Feet planted in the soil to get the source from sacred grounds<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
And if they might be tilted, straighten up our crowns<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
*<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
Paint a pretty scene in your mind<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
Let go of the tension and grief<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
Be humble, stand tall, and be kind<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
Charge your soul and summon relief<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
Don’t move about like you are blind<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
Harness the powers of your belief<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
\n

And stick to your Muse, it will bind<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n
